Convictions
For churches to comprehensively partner in the ministry of church planting, we believe it is required to have a shared theology of the essentials of the "faith that was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3) and to share the essentials of an ecclesiology and missiology.
Our theology substantially identifies with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
Our missiology is outlined by these convictions:
God is our supreme passion and his glory is out ultimate motivation; the Word of God is our ultimate authority; the Spirit of God is our guide.
Prayer is central to our strategy; faithfulness to obey God is success; results belong to God.
There is an infinite value on immortal souls; salvation from sin is the greatest need of every human being.
The Great Commission commands the churches to make disciples; making disciples means planting healthy churches; the most effective strategy to make disciples among unreached people groups is sending indigenous missionaries to plant churches.
The elder qualifications enumerated in Scripture should be used to determine a baseline for missionary qualifications.
Missionaries ought to be faithfully funded through the cooperative, sacrificial giving of churches and Christians, primarily from their sending church and their church’s close partnering churches, and secondarily from global churches and Christians.
