History

The Serampore Covenant, signed by William Carey and his 8 teammates in 1805, staring at the vastness of India, states, "It is only by means of native preachers that we can hope for the universal spread of the Gospel throughout this immense continent." Reminiscent of Paul writing to the missionary Timothy to "entrust [the gospel] to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2), the baton of gospel must be passed from one generation to another, and the indigenous church must be looked to as a co-laborers (1 Corinthians 3:9).

Two hundred years after their ministry of William Carey's team in Serampore, India, a 2024 gathering of pastors and missionaries from South Asia, Central Asia, and North America, led to the formation of an organization, embracing the switch from a pre-dominant Western missionary force to a global missionary force, highlighting the invaluable role of indigenous and near-culture Christians of carrying the gospel throughout their unreached communities, people groups, and nations.

On January 1, 2025, the 10/40 Window Missionary Society formed. Every church and every Christian have a role in God's global eternal purposes. No one is exempt. It is our hope and prayer that God would use the global church to partner with Christians and churches in the 10/40 Window to steward their responsibility in the Great Commission.

Where We Are

Presently the 10/40 Window Missionary Society has partnering churches in multiple regions across 4 countries in Central Asia, South Asia, and North America. Specific locations and updates are available only to partnering churches.
